The data controller is Deeptech Europe. Until our legal entity registration is finalised, the controller can be reached for all data protection matters via the contact form on this website or via our LinkedIn page. Once our registered office and company registration details are confirmed, they will be published here.

We have not appointed a data protection officer, as our processing does not meet the thresholds requiring one under Article 37 GDPR. All privacy requests are handled directly by the founding team.

Contact and “Build with us” form. When you contact us we process your name, email address, organisation, audience type and message. Legal basis: taking steps at your request prior to entering a relationship, and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries (Article 6(1)(b) and 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Newsletter (“Field notes”). If you subscribe, we process your email address to send occasional updates. Legal basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw consent at any time by unsubscribing or contacting us.

Technical logs. Our hosting infrastructure processes standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) to keep the site secure and available. Legal basis: legitimate interest in the security and operation of the website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Logs are retained for a limited period and then deleted.

We do not intentionally collect special categories of personal data (Article 9 GDPR). Please do not send us sensitive personal data through the forms.

This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. Only technically necessary storage may be used to deliver the site. If this changes, we will update this policy and, where required by the ePrivacy Directive, ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies.

We use a small number of service providers to operate this website (hosting, email delivery). These providers process data on our behalf under data processing agreements and only on our instructions. Where a provider is located outside the EU/EEA, transfers are protected by an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses (Article 46 GDPR).

We do not share your data with third parties for their own marketing purposes, and we do not sell personal data.

Enquiry correspondence is kept for as long as needed to handle your request and for up to 24 months afterwards, unless a longer retention is required by law or an ongoing engagement. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe. Server logs are retained for a limited period appropriate to security monitoring.

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you (Article 15).
• Have inaccurate data corrected (Article 16).
• Have your data erased (“right to be forgotten”, Article 17).
• Restrict or object to processing (Articles 18 and 21).
• Receive your data in a portable format (Article 20).
• Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting prior lawful processing (Article 7(3)).

To exercise any of these rights, contact us through the contact form. We will respond within one month. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority or the authority of the EU member state where you live or work.

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encrypted transport (HTTPS), access limited to the founding team, and providers with strong security practices. No internet transmission is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss or disclosure.

We may update this policy as the platform evolves or legal requirements change. The current version is always published on this page with its effective date. Material changes will be highlighted on the website before they take effect.
