Sec 12 / About

We work the problem.

Deeptech Europe is a founder-operator platform. We are not primarily capital allocators, and we are not sitting across the table evaluating founders. We work inside the company-building problem with the founding team.

Position

Deeptech companies move from constraint to constraint. So do we.

The work of building a hard-technology company is rarely the work described in programmes: it is a tolerance that cannot be held, a supplier that will not quote, a qualification file that is missing data, a first market chosen for the wrong reason.

Deeptech Europe exists to be useful at exactly those moments — with people who have been inside labs, design reviews, procurement calls, pilots and production ramps.

Principles

01

Operators, not spectators

The work happens inside the company-building problem, alongside the founding team — not across a table from it.

02

Technical conviction first

We form a view on the physics, the architecture and the manufacturing before we form a view on the market narrative.

03

Constraints over stages

No stage-gate playbook. The question is always what is rate-limiting now, and what moves it.

04

Evidence over opinion

Shorten the distance between assumption and data. Test where the thing has to live.

05

Industrial by default

A company is not real until it can be made repeatably, sold at a defensible cost and serviced in the field.

06

European, without theatre

Built in Europe, with European labs, suppliers, factories and capital — and no interest in innovation programming for its own sake.

Europe

Europe has the raw material.

  • The science.
  • The engineers.
  • The laboratories.
  • The industrial knowledge.
  • The manufacturing capability.
  • The supply chains.
  • The capital.

What matters is what we build from it: engineering, company formation, industrial deployment and scale.

Build something difficult.
